My Dreamcatcher

Well I finally managed to complete something,

Here at last is my version of the dream catcher,,,
It's not totally finished, as I do not have any leather or suede srips to wrap around the hoop, but apart from that, it's pretty faithful to the original instructions.
As I am very new to beading and beading techniques, I do hope that seeing my efforts might give a few others a little inspiration to have a try at making one.
The hoop is actually a find from a macramé supplies website, it's a plastic shopping bag handle, and was just the right size for this project.
It took lots of patience on my part to do the beading on this, because of my useless eyesight, trying to thread the very fiddly little rocailles needed, but it helped sooo much when I 'discovered' a pack of 'big eye needles', wow do they make a difference.
If you've never tried them, you have got to give them a go,
For those who have never heard of them, they are literally just as the name says, the whole length of the needle is just one 'big eye', it's wonderfully bendy, really tough, and allows you to thread the tiniest of beads.... as you can see....
Happy crafting everyone.

Shirley this is absolutely beautiful - what a work of art. I don't know how you have managed it as I know your eyes are bad - it's so lovely though it is worth the work.

Shirley glad you are pleased about the award.

To get it from my blog - right click on the picture of the award and save it to your computer. copy the sentiment bit too as that goes with this award.

Then you can announce it in a posting complete with picture (if you want to) and announce who you are passing it on to. You can give it to people from blogs you visit or if you like you can offer it for people to pick up who visit your blog - the write up says 8 but it's not always possible.
Then I add mine to my side bit of my blog - if you go to that bit (forget the name ) where you told me to go to set up blog role and use the 'add photo' choice you can add it there. That way it will always be visible on your blog and of course you will get loads more as time goes on.
