One of my favourite ways of collecting beads is to browse around charity shops, looking for other peoples' 'discards'Anything that might have 'potential' for my cannibalistic tendencies does not get overlooked!!
I couldn't resist one particular find, of a necklace just far too over laden with half a dozen + red dyed mop discs and redcurrant coloured dangly bits.
It was soon back at my work table, and armed with scissors, and sorting box, beading tools and beading board at the ready, I set to, and designed this much more subtle little number using red seed beads, silver tubes, black bicones, coral tubes and copper coloured coils and spacers as a perfect backdrop to show off the lovely mop pendant.
I hope you like the conversion.
